The imageCLASS MF4690 is an all in one unit from Canon designed to offer fast print and copy speeds with superb functionality and features. The MF4690 also features an integrated networking slot and a 35 page Automatic Document Feeder. You'll also be able to scan at up to 9600 dpi and fax at 33.6 Kbps. Ideal for small offices, the all-in-one imageCLASS MF4690 combines a duplex printer, digital copier, high-speed fax, color scanner, and network-capable functions in one compact, space-saving model. Compatible with both Windows and Mac, the MF4690 efficiently handles jobs both big and small and delivers high-quality, professional results when you need them.
The MF4690's single-cartridge system means the toner and drum are together in one easy-to-replace unit, resulting in both excellent image quality retention and virtually maintenance-free operation. In addition, its advanced, built-in send features and network-ready design help you effortlessly manage electronic document workflow. You can use this convenient unit to scan documents in various file formats and then email and/or fax them directly from the MF4690, without need of a computer. The MF4690 also stores email addresses and fax numbers for expedient sending of documents. With the scan-to-USB memory feature, a user can insert a portable jump drive in the front USB port on the device and scan documents directly to the drive in the user's choice of file formats. The device informs the user when it's safe to remove the drive.
The MF4690 is prints and copies at speeds up to 21 pages per minute (ppm) for letter-sized output at up to 1200 x 600 dot-per-inch (dpi) resolution. This unit also offers duplex output for letter-sized paper when printing, receiving faxes, and copying, an option that can significantly reduce paper consumption by printing two-sided documents from a personal computer, or even incoming faxes. The MF4690 will also copy single-sided pages to double-sided output, again reducing unnecessary paper usage. For added convenience, the 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) handles up to 250 sheets of paper and easily feeds multiple pages for efficient large copying or scanning jobs. Finally, the 33.6 kpbs Super G3 fax sends and receives faxes quickly and easily to minimize wait times.
